Our Learning Environments

Croeso i'r Nest 🪺

Welcome to The Nest, our nurturing and supportive provision led by Miss Edmunds and Mrs Evans.

The Nest provides a calm, welcoming space where children can develop their emotional wellbeing, social skills and confidence in a safe and supportive environment. We recognise that every child is unique and that developing positive relationships and understanding our emotions are an important part of learning.

💛 Emotional Wellbeing

In The Nest, children have opportunities to learn about and understand their feelings and emotions, developing strategies to help them recognise, express and manage their emotions in positive ways.

Through supportive conversations, activities and practical experiences, children are encouraged to build their self-awareness, resilience and confidence.

🤝 Developing Social Skills

We also support children in developing the skills they need to build positive relationships with others.

This includes exploring:

  • Understanding and expressing emotions

  • Developing friendships and positive relationships

  • Communication and listening skills

  • Sharing, turn-taking and cooperation

  • Problem-solving and resolving difficulties

  • Building confidence and independence

  • Developing strategies for managing different situations

🌱 Supporting Every Child

Children can access The Nest as part of their school day, alongside their usual classroom experiences. The provision offers children the time, space and support they need to develop their emotional and social skills at their own pace.

Our aim is to help every child feel safe, valued, understood and ready to learn, supporting them to flourish both within The Nest and across the wider school community.
