Croeso i Dosbarth Rabbits 🐰

Welcome to Dosbarth Rabbits, our wonderful Year 1 and Year 2 class, where children are encouraged to become confident, independent and enthusiastic learners.

Our class is taught by Miss Pole on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, and Mrs Bennett on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with Mrs Ryall supporting the children throughout the week.

We provide a nurturing and engaging learning environment where children are encouraged to ask questions, explore new ideas and develop their skills through a wide range of exciting experiences. We value every child as an individual and aim to help each Rabbit grow in confidence and enjoy their learning journey.

🏃 P.E.

Our P.E. session takes place every Tuesday. Children have the opportunity to develop their physical skills, coordination, teamwork and confidence through a variety of fun and engaging activities.

Children should come to school dressed in their P.E. kit on their P.E. day. Please ensure that your child wears an appropriate P.E. kit and suitable footwear.

Our school P.E. kit includes:

• A school polo shirt

• Tracksuit bottoms, leggings or shorts

• Suitable, comfortable P.E. footwear​
   

🌿 Outdoor Learning

We enjoy Outdoor Learning every Thursday, giving our Rabbits the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom and develop their curiosity through hands-on experiences. Being outdoors allows children to explore, investigate and enjoy learning in a different environment.

🏡 Homework

We value the partnership between home and school and encourage children to continue their learning at home.

 

Our homework activities include:​

• 📚 Reading books to enjoy at home with family

• 💻 Reading Eggs to support developing reading skills

• 🔢 Maths Seeds to practise and develop mathematical understanding

• ✏️ High-Frequency Words (HFW) practice, which is ongoing throughout the year
