Croeso i Dosbarth Hazel 🌰

Welcome to Dosbarth Hazel, a warm and welcoming classroom where children are encouraged to become confident, independent and enthusiastic learners.

Our class is taught by Mrs Richards from Monday to Wednesday and Miss Payne on Thursdays and Fridays. Together, they provide a supportive and engaging environment where children are encouraged to develop their skills, explore new ideas and take pride in their learning.

We believe in creating a positive classroom atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported. Through a range of engaging experiences, we encourage children to challenge themselves, develop their independence and enjoy their learning journey.

🏃 P.E.

Our P.E. session takes place every Thursday. Children have the opportunity to develop their physical skills, coordination, teamwork and confidence through a range of fun and active activities.

Children should come to school dressed in their P.E. kit on their P.E. day. Please ensure that your child wears an appropriate P.E. kit and suitable footwear.

🌿 Outdoor Learning

Our Outdoor Learning sessions take place every other Tuesday, providing children with regular opportunities to learn beyond the classroom.

These sessions encourage children to explore, investigate and develop practical skills through hands-on experiences, while building confidence and enjoying the benefits of learning outdoors.

🏡 Homework

We encourage children to continue their learning at home and develop positive routines that support their progress and independence.

Homework will be shared with families through ClassDojo, with activities and resources provided to support learning at home.

Homework opportunities may include:

• 📚 Reading Books – encouraging children to read regularly at home

• 💻 Reading Eggs – supporting reading development through engaging activities

• ✏️ Spelling Shed – practising and developing spelling skills

• 🎨 Purple Mash – interactive activities to support and extend learning

• 🖥️ Google Classroom – accessing learning activities and resources

•

We look forward to a fantastic year in Dosbarth Hazel, filled with curiosity, creativity, new challenges and lots of opportunities for our children to grow and flourish! 🌰
