Welcome to Hedgehogs Class, our wonderful Nursery and Reception mixed-age class, where children are encouraged to learn, explore and grow together in a warm, nurturing environment.

 

Our class teacher is Miss Stow, supported by our Teaching Assistants, Miss Lucas, Mrs Jones and Miss Williams. Together, we provide a caring and stimulating environment where every child is encouraged to develop their confidence, curiosity and independence.

Our curriculum is inspired by the Froebel approach, with a strong emphasis on learning through play, exploration and first-hand experiences. Every day brings opportunities for children to discover the world around them, develop their ideas and learn through meaningful experiences.

 

🌿 Outdoor Learning

Outdoor learning is an important part of life in Hedgehogs. We enjoy our Forest School sessions every Monday, giving children the opportunity to explore nature, develop practical skills and build confidence in the great outdoors.

 🏃🏻P.E. 

Our PE session takes place every Wednesday, when children have opportunities to develop their physical skills, coordination and teamwork.

 

📚 Homework

For our Reception children, reading books and Red Words are changed every Friday, allowing children to practise their developing reading skills at home alongside their families.
