Croeso i Dosbarth Maple 🍁

Welcome to Dosbarth Maple, our wonderful Year 4 and Year 5 class, where children are encouraged to become confident, independent and motivated learners.

Our class is taught by Mrs Bennett on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, and Mrs Dean on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with Mrs Burnicle supporting the children throughout the week.

In Maple Class, we create a positive and supportive environment where children are encouraged to challenge themselves, develop their independence and take pride in their learning. We provide a wide range of engaging experiences that help children build their knowledge, skills and confidence as they continue their learning journey.

🏃 P.E.

Our P.E. session takes place every Monday. Children have the opportunity to develop their physical skills, teamwork and coordination through a variety of enjoyable and challenging activities.

Children should come to school dressed in their P.E. kit on their P.E. day. Please ensure that your child wears an appropriate P.E. kit and suitable footwear.

🌿 Outdoor Learning

Our Outdoor Learning session takes place every fortnight on a Thursday, giving children the opportunity to take their learning beyond the classroom.

Through practical and hands-on experiences, children can explore, investigate and develop their confidence while enjoying the benefits of learning outdoors.

🏡 Homework

We encourage our Maple children to continue developing their learning at home through regular activities.

Homework includes:

• 📚 Weekly reading books – encouraging children to read regularly and share their reading experiences at home

• ✏️ Weekly spellings – helping children develop their spelling skills and confidence with new vocabulary
