Croeso i Dosbarth Sycamore 🍃

Welcome to Dosbarth Sycamore, our unique PPA provision for children from Year 2 to Year 6, led by Mrs Slade and Mrs Davies.

Sycamore Class provides children with a rich and varied blend of learning experiences across both the classroom and our Forest School provision. Our approach is rooted in Froebelian pedagogy, recognising the importance of play, relationships, first-hand experiences and learning through the natural world.

🌿 Learning Through the Outdoors

Each class joins Sycamore for one day during their class teacher's PPA time, providing children with the opportunity to experience a different learning environment and engage in activities that complement their classroom learning.

Our Forest School provision allows children to explore, investigate and learn through meaningful, hands-on experiences. Children are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and decision-making skills, while having the freedom to make choices about their learning.

We believe that children learn best when they are given the time, space and freedom to explore. Dosbarth Sycamore provides a wonderful opportunity for children to learn through play, discovery and first-hand experiences, nurturing curious, capable and confident learners.
